The Challange
4moms connected with Royal Technologies to do a complete redesign of their connect high chair®. They were looking for a design that was safe, structurally stable, innovative and could be produced with high quality and efficiency.
The Solution
Royal collaborated with a local designer to help develop the new industrial design and developed early prototype chairs for product evaluation and industry trade show:
- Full 3D and 2D CAD designs completed to develop and qualify production tooling
- Developed product following provided industry performance requirements
- Provided full assembly level FEAs to validate the structure and stability based on test requirements provided by the customer
The Results
With the necessary testing and approvals complete, Royal was sourced for manufacturing and full assembly of the product (complete chair packaged in a retail box):
- Complex final assembly leveraging globally sourced components
- Innovative low capital assembly station using light guide technology
From a few napkin sketches in early discussions to eventual production and distribution, Royal helped take 4moms take advanced baby gear to new heights.
